AliasMenu adds customized menus to the menu bar. These menus work like the Apple menu: Each menu has a corresponding folder and the menu automatically reflects the folder's content.
The menu name can be replaced by a custom mini-icon, to get a nice layout or to save room in the menu bar and add more menus.
AliasMenu is a control panel. If you are unsure about how to install it, please follow the few steps below.
1) Double-click your hard disk icon to open it.
2) In the window, look for the System Folder icon. You may have to use the scroll-bars to display it if there are lots of files and folders in the window.
3) Do not open the System Folder. Simply drop AliasMenu's icon on the System Folder's icon.
4) The Finder tells you that control panels should be stored in the Control Panel folder and asks you for a confirmation to do so. Click OK to confirm.
5) Select "Restart" in the Special menu to restart the computer.
After the restart is completed, you'll find additional menus in the menu bar. Open the AliasMenu control panel and click the "Help" button to learn all about AliasMenu's capabilities.
